- Each player has 6 hours + broom extension to answer any action question.
- Each team must have at least 1 chaser, 1 beater, a keeper and a seeker. Teams may be rearranged and the captain must post the changed roster before each match. Head of Houses will choose their House's team captain. Understudies may be chosen for when a team needs them, but they may only have up to 1 understudy per position (1 chaser, 1 beater, and 1 seeker).
- Chasers grab and shoot the quaffle where appropriate. Chasers may also tackle other chasers where indicated. These actions are done by answering the trivia quested within the allotted time frame. If there is no correct answer, or the question is answered at the same time, that quaffle will be thrown out and a new one (new question) will be thrown in. Broom extensions to not apply to "tackle/dodge" questions.
- Keeper can attempt to save goals by answering the trivia question designated for them. However, it is not guaranteed. A random number generator will be used to determine the save. 1-10 is a save, 11-21 is a miss (quaffle goes through the hoop), and 22-30 is a save.
- Two bludgers, one per team, will be included in the match each update. To hit a bludger, the beater must answer the question correctly within the time allotted. Beaters must also aim at someone currently on the field. If they aim for someone off the field or forget to aim at all, both beaters will aim at the same person. If a beater answers incorrectly or doesn't answer in time, the bludger aimed at their team will take one of their team's players out; that player will be out until the next update. If both beaters forget to aim, get their answer wrong, or don't post in time, they are both taken out until the next update.
- When the Snitch is released a "Snitch Sighting" will be posted in an update, and the snitch will be posted somewhere within Hogwarts. The Snitch cannot be posted in areas inaccessible to the keeper. The Snitch will only be posted when both Seekers are offline. The anonymous/invisible option may only be used to look for the snitch untracked. Once the snitch is found, you will pm the answer to the question to the referee. It is in the team's best mind to NOT announce when you have found the snitch, especially if you think your answer is wrong because it takes a correct answer for a successful catch. It both teams are wrong, the snitch will move and the game will go on (and all posts will count). The game will end with a successful catch at the time the PM is received, all replies in the game after that time will be discarded. The first seeker to answer correctly will win the game. Seekers do not receive broom bonuses.
- All commentary must be done in the stands.
However on occasion will we have special quick-matches which are held LIVE via a chat room. They still run the same way, but they are real time. The snitch will still be released within Hogwarts.
AS A PLAYER, YOU MUST POST THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THESE RULES. YOU MAY ALSO POST ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNCLEAR ABOUT ANYTHING - as it will help me develop these rules so they work the best.
